Rob O'Neil, Professional Services
Rob grew up in West Chester, PA and graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1995. While in the Air Force he was a Mission Crew Commander for air controller teams and mobile communication hubs that helped to manage air campaigns. His time in the Air Force included three tours in the Middle East as well as a rotation in Spangdahlem, Germany and Boise, Idaho. His operational position as a Mission Crew Commander put him directly in charge of air controllers and air control equipment to include active radar, communications, and data links. He worked extensively with various voice switching equipment and is familiar with different communication media.
After the Air Force, Rob tried his hand at the import/export business. He supervised a shop of six Chinese nationals in Shanghai and operated a sourcing business for toys, pens, pencils, and other stationery products. This adventure brought Rob into many colorful locations up and down the eastern half of China and introduced him to some interesting food choices. Favorites include BBQ snake, fish eye soup, and silk worms.
Rob started with CEXEC in the spring of 2003. He has provided support in many positions, including Acquisition Analyst, Business Analyst, Quality Manager, Facility Security Officer, Project Manager, and, most recently, Senior Vice President, Operations. Rob's primary support is to FAA clients in the headquarters region but he also is responsible for overall operations. He received his MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2009.
Rob plays well with others and has a wife, Jennifer, and two lovely daughters, Reese and Ainsley. They enjoy impromptu soccer matches, occasional trips to the slopes, and outings for wings. Rob is an avid skier and competed on the Air Force ski team in college before having to make a living. He is now domesticated but occasionally finds time to make some turns with friends.
